In a country that squanders more and more of its natural resources by the day, Bohol is an example of environmental preservation and ecological conscience the rest of the Philippines would do well to emulate.

From Bilar man-made forest, the result of a reforestation drive in the 60s and a grand testament to the power of conservation efforts, to the tarsier sanctuaries that protect its unique indigenous primate, to the eco resorts dotting the Panglao coastline, it’s clear that Boholanos value and respect the lands they steward. Now all we have to do is get everyone else to follow suit.
