If forests are churches, redwoods are grand cathedrals. Walking among the ancient, towering titans, one can’t help but offer reverence, walking a little slower and speaking a little more softly. A babbling brook is the holiest of waters, and there is no finer pew than a fallen tree, silent yet filled with life.
Animistic cultures are often seen as primitive and unenlightened for deifying and worshipping nature, but to me it honestly makes more sense to pray to something real that you can touch and that provides for you and nourishes you, than to a person or an ideal. ✌🏼❤️ 🌳
