Happy Place Project
What started as a simple portrait series photographing New Yorkers in their favorite spots — their “Happy Places” — has since grown well beyond that, thanks to an opportunity to send an email to 23,000 people. Almost overnight, my project’s list of subjects grew from 4 to 400, its scope from “New York” to “the Entire World” (I have one response from Burkina Faso I’m especially looking forward to).
This is going to be a very-long-term project, spanning years if not decades (400 people scattered all across the globe? Yeah, that might take some time).
